My Dinner with London
Who: Steven Durante, Handsome Jack, and London Tipton
Where: Jack's house in Goldenrod
When: midweek during London's week of Mandatory Training Hell
Summary: Team Rocket's crime dad and crime uncle invite the latest Rocket teen to a nice crime family dinner
Rating: PG? Maybe PG-13?
The invitation to supper had come with a bag from the Goldenrod Department Store, containing a black-trimmed yellow sundress, black wrap and strappy black sandals. (There's also a gift receipt inside, just in case it doesn't fit.)
Steven will be there to meet London in the lobby of the Radio Tower, business casual with the sleeves of his button-down shirt rolled up to the elbow and his black tie with the subtle gold patterning tied loosely. He fires off a quick text to Jack so he'll know they're coming, before raising his hand to wave to her.
"Hello, London. I've take the liberty of arranging a bicycle rickshaw for the trip over," he tells her once she's closer. "The kind with a roof over the bench--just in case it decides it wants to start raining again, like it was this morning."
Luck seems to be with them. It doesn't start to rain again. And Steven takes a good deal of pleasure in pointing out the sites of the city as they ride. But all too soon they pull up to the sleek, modern mansion that's Handsome Jack's house in Goldenrod City. Steven pays the bicyclist, tipping generously, and once they're out of sight, he turns to London with a smile as he pulls out his house keys.
"Well. Here we are. Home at last."

"Well. Here we are. Home at last."

no subject
When London reaches the lobby of the building, she's already wearing her new yellow dress. It's a great fit, even if Arturo Vitali doesn't quite exist here.
The rickshaw is no car, but London had gotten used to fresh air while being on a cruise ship, so the open air of the rickshaw is quite pleasant.
As Steven tips the cyclist, London gives him a smile and a wave as he starts to pedal off. "Thanks, Rick!"
The mansion is everything London is used to from back home, and she'd never been more excited to go to someone else's house before. "You live here? Wow, this is almost like daddy's mansion back in Boston!"
And I think Jack gets next tag
Steven chuckles at London's expression. "Well. Yes. It's Jack's, technically, although we're looking to put my name on it too in the next couple months, maybe open a joint bank account? He makes very good money with Hyperion."
He sounds proud, proud and fond, and there's a pleased little smile on his mouth as he unlocks and opens the door.
"We're home," Steven calls down the entryway to the kitchen. "Do you know where you want to eat tonight, bebe?"
(By which he means the kitchen, the formal dining room, or the couch while they watch TV. By themselves it's usually the kitchen or the couch, but they do have a guest.)
