[It's practically impossible to tell what's going on. For one, the air is thick with mist. For two, there is some serious Shaky Cam (tm) going on, though with all the mist you can only sort of tell from the way the vague shape of Doppio is vibrating intensely, so the weather is really the main problem here.

When it comes to visibility, anyway. The weather is not Doppio's main concern right now.]

I-I need backup! I'm--

[Is that the cry of a wild Steelix? Why yes, it is. And it's pretty loud, so it must be close.]

I'm not out of supplies, b-but I dropped my bag! [He's out of breath. His voice wobbles with each vibration in the feed.] It... It had most of my Pokéballs, and my items, and all the... all the guys I caught! For the admins!

[The Steelix roars and launches itself forward. It's probably hard to tell from the video itself, though, because it appears Doppio has now dropped his Pokégear and it is bouncing and sliding downhill.]

I don't want to die!

[A few seconds pass. Doppio manages to grab his Gear again and adds, very urgently and quite close to the camera:]

[This announcement hits the private Rocket network Thursday evening. It's a voice-only memo, and doesn't seem to be coming from the regular admins you interact with for day-to-day things. Instead, this is coming from far higher up in the chain.]

Attention all Rockets.

As you all know, tomorrow Lance of the Elite Four is hosting another one of his 'Prom' celebrations. This time, however, there is more at stake than just a silly dance and the opportunity to steal some baubles.

For several months now, we've known that one of the Elite Four members will be abdicating their position. We've been hard at work to take advantage of this opportunity in order to plant on our own within their number. And we have nearly succeeded in our goal. One of our loyal members has made it to the final selection.

Tomorrow, Lance, the sentimental fool that he is, will be leaving the decision of who will join their ranks up to your Otherworlders. Victory is almost within our grasp, bretheren, and all we need is a final push from you to obtain it. We needn't tell you how much we will benefit from having an insider within the Elite Four, capable of steering their decisions to ones that will be beneficial to our goal. Summary: As Armstrong's slog through Rocket Basic training nears its end his leash is loosened a bit, giving him the chance to interact with his classmates for the first time.

[A giant older man sits at a nearly-comically undersized desk in one of the Rocket Base's many classrooms. Their training had reached the "death-by-powerpoint" stage of things and, so, the recruits were finally being treated as something near to human beings at last, and it was a welcome relief.

With lunch called Armstrong sighs in relief and produces the depressing brown-bag lunch he's been supplied with. A boring bologna sandwich, some chips, an apple, and a sports drink sit inside and amount to far less in the way of fuel than a titan of a man like Armstrong would put-away in a typical lunch.]

"Hoo boy. I see the commissary went all out on this one..."

[Armstrong looks deeper into his bag, as if there might be some hidden vendibles laying at the bottom, before surfacing again and looking around at his classmates to see if any of them might have come out with a better lunch situation than he did.]

"Gotta be someone looking to take part in the age-old tradition of chowtime trading."

The voice on the other end is very... plain, any sign of any accent or anything buried. Practiced. And the person sat plainly, focused. There was no trace of anything on her face - no anger nor fear at being taken. ]

My name is Fordola rem Lupis. [ with emphasis on the rem... yet, no change in her tone of voice, no feelings to read from it. ] I'm a new recruit to Team Rocket. [ A little flicker of something. Gods, what a stupid name, she's thinking. But there's no point pissing off her new bosses. ]

If there's any work that I may help with - or any other tasks that need to be done - I would be willing to assist, once my training has finished.

He’s on the edge of it because it seems that his Skarmory has taken up most of the bed and isn’t interested in moving. This is a problem because Narancia has already spent the day in training and needs to take the chance to rest, but he wants to get this video out first.]

Alright, what the fuck is this and how do I go home? I was in the middle of something before all this, so I can’t stay here and keep doing your Team Rocket training stuff!

[Narancia’s current working theory is that a Stand brought him here, somehow. Why he was sent to some sort of Pokemon world is a mystery, but right now his priority is getting back to his friends at the Coliseum.]

But, with the sudden excitement and influx of likely activity to the Islands, Carly is cracking her knuckles and getting to work.

This, frankly, is the perfect time to start testing for a faster version of 'phase one'.

Hello everyone~! I've been pretty quiet lately I know, but I can safely say that I'm settled here in Sevii Islands finally~

For anyone uh, new here, I was approved for an assignment on permanent basis down here. It...does mean I'm back to organizing and maintaining the 'Team Standard' of course... [she grimaces a bit there. Look, she wasn't a criminal at heart to begin with.] But! I'm making it work.

Anyway, aside from figuring out how to set up and maintain some kind of larger-scale base of operations might do that through gym employment if I'm honest, take a leaf out of the Boss' book I guess but that might be risky...Ahem, if you've been paying attention to the news, you'll know that a lot of attention just got pointed at the entire island chain.

This is pretty good news actually! Two Island in particular is kind of a commercial hub here; there's not a lot other than stores, which is why Jolyne and I picked it for our Gym, and why I figured it would work best as a potential base for Team Rocket. It worked for Mahogany, it'll work here.

And on that note..!

I know some of you have stickier fingers than most, so here's the deal! I'll be keeping an eye out as people come through, for potential targets. Obviously the rarity of the pokemon is important, but honestly, I'm going to be aiming more for the karma of it. So you can smile proudly with the knowledge that any information I give you is probably on someone who shouldn't be a trainer in the first place~! [It's Criminal Rehoming! Yayyyyyy]

Oh and uh. [Carly adjusts her glasses.] If you stop on by and want some ice cream, ask for the 'Fireworks Special' in whatever flavor you're after, it'll be on the house.

Just don't say that too loud when you do, I don't want my little booth going out of business here!!

Hey everybody!

[Scorpia looks happy, at a glance. Those who are good at reading people or know her well might recognize this as her 'push down insecurities and doubts' smile. She's cuddling a pair of Eevees and a Jigglypuff in her lap. All of them look expertly groomed.]

So I had a couple chats with people lately that gave me an idea! So, we all know about spas and salons and things, and that they've got them for Pokemon too! But what if we did one for charity? A Pokemon spa!

The Pokemon have lots of moves and abilities that'd make them good at that kind of thing! There's Scald for keeping a hot tub just right, and my Coalossal can make steam for a sauna! Any number of grass or fairy Pokemon could do all kinds of aromatherapy things for people. And there's massage, and skin treatments and haircuts and styles!

So we and our Pokemon could do one for charity! And that means we can steal from rude and mean rich people at the same time! So they'd put on a fluffy robe for the spa, right? And they'd leave their clothes and wallet and keys behind! We can have someone behind the scenes copy all those credit card numbers and ID stuff and addresses and the keys too. Then when they least expect it, we can use all that to buy things or get more credit cards, or even sneak into their houses and take stuff that they don't deserve! They'd probably never even connect it back to the spa as long as we don't do everybody right away or all at once!

All while the nice and generous people get a relaxing time and donate to a good cause! We could even give Pokemon a grooming session while their owners are at our spa! And the ones that are unhappy, we can rescue later, and some of them might even want to join Rocket!

How's that sound for a heist? Anybody want to do it with me?

But then he leans forward, his hand going up to clutch at his dreadlocks nervously.]

[This post opens with a picture of a wonderfully purple-ish Murkrow, peacefully asleep in a comfortable blanket. Yes, it is absolutely in the right network.]

Look at him! Did you know birds like blankets? I had no idea.
I didn't know Pokémon could come in different colors either, but I'm guessing most of you DID already know that.
It's very rare, isn't it? These Pokémon, Murkrow... They're usually much darker.
But that reminds me of something I've been meaning to ask.

Some of you have more than one team, right? Since we're supposed to be incognito?
Right now, there's only one Pokémon I've made sure not to use when I'm out doing civilian things
You know, that little barnacle claw guy I got after that other big heist (he's grown a lot by the way! Kind of freaky how it stands like a person now, but I guess it's good for intimidation purposes).

BUT my point is... I need to decide what to do with Corvo, don't I?
(That's this little guy's name)
Since shiny Pokémon are so rare, using him in battle both on the job and out could let someone identify me...
But
Um.

[Okay fuck this is embarrassing but here goes.]

The admins won't make me hand him over if they see me using him, will they?
I like him a LOT and I think he likes me too!
I saw him hatch and all these toys and this blanket came with the egg...

Despite interference from a rather... unexpected source, we can nevertheless announce that our planned attack on Christmas was carried out with reasonable success. Thanks to the efforts of our Rockets stationed in Goldenrod City, enough attention was diverted away from other locations that we were able to steal a satisfactory amount of goods.

Please be sure to submit your mission reports to your respective admins before the 7th, in order to receive your bonus next month. Late or incomplete reports may result in difficulty processing your rewards. If you are uncertain how to submit the necessary paperwork, please speak to your assigned admin.

Finally freed from the first day of training, Hermes made no time in making himself acquainted with the network of this world. It was new for mortals as far as he was aware, but still simple to pick up on its uses. It was charming in its own way and faster than mortal couriers!

When the video clicks on he's reclining in what can only be guessed as the on of the bunks, still in uniform though he's swapped the hat back for his golden laurels. All smiles for the camera.]

Hey there! Got a quick message for you all!

[He clears his throat and as if he were reading something out loud, he continues.]

While I can't say I'm too impressed with all of this so far, I've decided, though I suppose with little other choice, to grant you all the boon of my aid. [All Rockets will find the following voice memo on their accounts. The voice, a clear speaking, almost pleasant female one is not one that can be recognised as any of the admins they ordinarily interact with. It seems this particular memo is coming from higher up the chain, much much higher.]

Attention all Rockets. This year we are stealing Christmas.

Our corporate takeover of the United Kanto/Johto Santa's Guild is now complete. This year, all major department store and shopping district Santa and elves in the Kanto and Johto regions will be Team Rocket.

All Rockets, either in the field or on base, are required to check in with their designated admins with in the next 48hrs to receive their elf or Santa assignments and equipment.

Although tentative roles have been assigned to all Grunts and Privates, final determination of role will be made at the check-in.

We expect all Santas to either like children, have experience with children, or at least fake it. Elves are expected to make sure all cash secured from Santa visits is delivered into Rocket hands.

We know some of you have cover jobs. We have secured copies of your work schedules and have assigned your Santa or elf shifts around them, at the nearest Santa location to where you work.

If you have been scheduled in a city that you do not have the warp for, flying transportation will be arranged.

Shifts as Santa or an elf are mandatory for all Grunts. Privates may opt out of their shifts as Santa or elves strictly at their admins' discretion; they are still required to be involved with the mission. Betas may opt in to taking shifts as Santa or elves; otherwise, they and the Alphas will be handling logistics and preparation for The Big Night.

The initial phase of this mission is infiltration and reconnaissance only, in preparation for The Big Night. You are under strict orders not to steal anything obvious or unsubtle for the next two weeks, so as not to compromise our position. You are also required to regularly report on all your assigned department store or shopping district, especially concerning security.

This mission is mandatory for all Rockets.
