RED ALERT [text]

Guys, I hate to bring down the mood, but we have a HUGE problem. Riku—you know, one of the very first trainers to arrive here, Aurora Leaguer, exceptionally powerful—that Riku apparently knows all about our operations in the Radio Tower. He's been keeping quiet about it, but with our increased activity and the organization of the Pokémon Guardian Corps there's a serious possibility he'll be conducting a raid in the future. He even mentioned it in a conversation with me, here's the proof.

[A video file containing a private conversation between Riku and Connie is attached.]

Everybody there, please please please PLEASE be careful (looking at you, Tio Steven) and see if you can't persuade the admins to move house or at least set up some countermeasures. This is bad news.

Possibly you'll want to advertise for that yourself once you get closer to building them.

Oh, worry not, I shall.

However, little did I wish to pass over what usefulness you may yet hold, particularly when you are ever so eager to be helpful--or appear as such, at the very least. Considering it an act of good faith in the spirit of our little treaty.

[personal profile] fingersandteeth 2020-08-10 08:44 am (UTC)(link)
You mean the letter, right?

[Because taking every opportunity to be verbally nasty to Steven sure didn't feel like abiding by the spirit of it to him.]
amaure: (161)

[personal profile] amaure 2020-08-10 08:55 am (UTC)(link)
Indeed.

Before, I would not entertain the thought of allowing you to assist me in any way, but as you can see, change has been made.

[That's...that's what he's calling this.]

[personal profile] fingersandteeth 2020-08-10 08:59 am (UTC)(link)
That's nice, Emet-Selch.
amaure: (384)

[personal profile] amaure 2020-08-10 09:11 am (UTC)(link)
[He was going to leave this well enough alone, but nope. He just got a message from Hythlodaeus.]

Really. You could not speak to me about it yourself you needed to rely upon a courier of sorts? Come now, Steven. Do you not feel you can speak with me candidly?

Even after how close we've become through all of this nonsense? Oh, you wound me, sir.
fingersandteeth: (done)

[personal profile] fingersandteeth 2020-08-10 09:20 am (UTC)(link)
He said you were flirting with me, Emet-Selch. I didn't want to embarrass us both by directly spurning your advances.
amaure: (499)

[personal profile] amaure 2020-08-10 09:27 am (UTC)(link)
And you believed him? Well, it is not I who should feel embarrassed here, I hope you realize.
fingersandteeth: (done)

[personal profile] fingersandteeth 2020-08-10 09:31 am (UTC)(link)
No, that would require you to have a sense of shame.
amaure: (151)

[personal profile] amaure 2020-08-10 09:33 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, I do have shame, but only where it matters. And his misdirecting you is not where it does.

For all I knew, maybe Amaurot practiced troll romance.
amaure: (26)

[personal profile] amaure 2020-08-10 09:48 am (UTC)(link)
You very clearly wish for me to ask about troll romance, but isn't it just the oddest thing? I find myself utterly uninspired to inquire about such a topic.

Nevertheless, you flatter yourself with entertaining such a notion, even at his suggestion.

[personal profile] fingersandteeth 2020-08-10 09:51 am (UTC)(link)
That's nice, Emet-Selch.

Well, it would seem your impersonation of a broken record is indeed flawless. Truly a merit to be proud of. As such, I do suppose I should leave you to your practice of such a performance, for I am certain there are others who might benefit from its simplicity than I.

[And then he swaps this part to private:]

But before I do, a piece of advice: use not our mutual friend to deliver the messages you are too cowardly to say to me. It will be better for him in the long run. That is if you truly do care about him

[personal profile] asmywitness 2020-08-10 01:02 pm (UTC)(link)
I feel like this is one where the more people there are, the more likely multiple someones will get caught.

On the other hand, nothing like some extra hands to help spread the message.

Do you have anything that can teleport?
asmywitness: (are you talking to me)

[personal profile] asmywitness 2020-08-10 01:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Out of curiosity, how did you get caught? Did the cops trace it back to you?

Not that that's going to be an issue here, I imagine, Jennies are useless beat cops.

If you need a remote connection, maybe we can get one of your Pokemon to hack in for you.
zenryokubatankyu: woah. just realized the "Hungryman" logo on this can of sloppy joe is referring to me, the guy buying and eating thhe food. (And it tastes like Jack)

[personal profile] zenryokubatankyu 2020-08-10 01:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Good point...I don't wanna get caught.

But the extra hands bit is also important and I can definitely do that.

Mhm! My abra, Thinkina! She can teleport me real fast!
zenryokubatankyu: The reason the "Cars" movies have gained so much popularity is becuase the cars speak to one another. You don't get that with real life cars (Walking around)

[personal profile] zenryokubatankyu 2020-08-10 01:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Roger that! I'll check around and see what I can do, but November sounds like it might be great. I think leading my own heist might be great and would be just the thing to help me start feeling like I'm slowly rising. I'll make sure to triple-check everything about my planning, though!

And I'll definitely run some of the details by you. I want it to go great!
asmywitness: (a good young man a gentleman)

[personal profile] asmywitness 2020-08-10 01:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Excellent. You might want to practice teleporting a bit, it makes people nauseous if they're not too used to it.

Not gonna lie, I'm looking forward to seeing what people do.
zenryokubatankyu: adding "A Touch of Class" to my home by wrapping all of my game's apparatuse's in tinsel (a rule that you can bend)

[personal profile] zenryokubatankyu 2020-08-10 01:23 pm (UTC)(link)
I've got a little bit of an idea thanks to the last heist I went on. But I'm definitely gonna try to get even more used to it...get her more practiced to doing it, too.

It's exciting! Dangerous, but exciting...I think we'll all be able to handle it, though. Everyone seems capable.
asmywitness: (this pleases the tyler)

[personal profile] asmywitness 2020-08-10 01:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Hands-on practice with heist bullshit is honestly a lot more useful than half the shit they try and teach us. All my mainstay hypnosis tricks are self-taught.
asmywitness: (ok boomer)

[personal profile] asmywitness 2020-08-10 01:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Consider this less of a formal announcement of war and more of a show of interest for those who'd be willing to entertain it. I'll be looking into how we should go about this far more intensely in the near future.

But you've lead me quite thoroughly to believe that you're well and truly experienced in the art of undermining nations and mental conquest. I wouldn't be opposed to your input.

[Sorry Steven, he supposes?]

That message wasn't really *meant* to actually go to you, Emet-Selch. I temporarily forgot that if Hythlodaeus says something provoking about someone else's actions and you say to him in reply 'well, you can tell so-and-so such-and-such,' he really *will* tell so-and-so such-and-such out of the sheer glee of trolling.

Believe me, I'll remember that in the future.

It's good to start brainstorming now. The more time you have to think things through, the more time you have to catch those flaws in your planning.

If your heist/scheme goes well and you haven't otherwise made private, I say you should use it to request a rank up. It's the kind of initiative they like to see--though I know you can still get promoted without leading your own heist if you play a key part in someone else's. (That's how Steve P made private--when Dirk lead us on the big lapras heist, he had Steve P be the one to attack the lapras' keeper and secure him away so he couldn't interfere.)

Good, see that you do. With that, I take my leave.
