[action - goldenrod base]
[One of the interesting things about being a mercenary in a dangerous galaxy means that waking up in an unknown location with no clue how he got there? Not necessarily that new. Well. It also happens when he's had a fun night sometimes, but that generally means there's a hot blonde next to him or something.
But this whole... whatever it is, this is new. And he doesn't like it one bit. He also doesn't like that he doesn't have any of his gear. No armor, no guns, not even any of his knives. And no sword. No key.
Yeah, that doesn't put him in the greatest mood.
All this Rocket shit doesn't interest him one bit and, honestly, he's only half paying attention to all of this. Not his problem. Like any of these people can match the paycheck he was gonna get back home. No way. He needs to get far away from wherever the hell this planet is.
So. Anyone in the Goldenrod Rocket base might just spot Felix wandering around and... checking every supply closet, cabinet, and drawer he comes across. And every time, he looks disappointed at the contents. Next up is a hallway closet. He opens it up...]
Aaaaaand behind door number four is... another supply closet! Oh, good! I guess I'm all set if I need to mop something.
This is all just great.
[Frustrated, he slams the door shut. The sound travels through the halls, but he really doesn't give a shit right now.]
Seriously, where the fuck do these idiots keep the weapons?

What to ask first... Well. There's the obvious.
"So maybe you can actually tell me exactly what backwater planet this is? I'm having some trouble finding a name."
no subject
"So you have only just awoken here. There's no way back to where we were, or how we were. For the time being."
The 'overgrown blue housecat' flicks her tail back and forth, eyes neevr leaving Felix. Give her one reason. Just one reason...
no subject
"Okay... wow. Now there's a lot of info and none of it what I want to hear." He pauses for a second. No, no, let's not piss anyone off just yet. "Which, hey, that's not your bad. I get that. But you're gonna have to give me just a little more here, I mean..." Okay, no, he doesn't need to stress out about this. It's an easy fix. Even if this guy doesn't know the way off this planet, that doesn't mean no one does.
"Look, there's gotta at least be ships stopping here or something."
no subject
"For the time being, you will need to adapt. This place has brought people from various...states." Such as from beyond the grave. He had heard some confused newcomers talk about 'being human' too...
no subject
Okay, there's no way he's just stranded here, right? Not now. Not now. Not when he's this goddamn close to being done with this job, so close to his paycheck. And now the universe itself is ripping him away from it?
No, okay. Okay, he can... figure something out.
"...States." Well, isn't that just some delightfully vague phrasing? "Okay, not that I don't appreciate a nice mystery now and again, but can you, I dunno, specify, maybe? You're not just talking about states in the geographical states here, I'm guessing."
no subject
"Everyone I asked have said they don't know how or why they came to be here. We simply arrive, are given a Pokemon, and then left again." Heather had said it was a chance to 'begin anew'. He still hadn't figured out what she had meant or how he was meant to live 'better' life, so he excluded it from his explanation.
no subject
...Sorry Walter, but that does seem kinda like bullshit. Even if it's actually true.
"And, oh, let me guess. No way to communicate to anyone off-planet, right?"
no subject
Then tried to move past him. Clearly the man was getting upset and he didn't really want to deal with his tantrum, or see what kind of temper he had when frustrated. Chaos kept herself between the stranger and her trainer, tail swishing as a warning to him.
no subject
Maybe this dude's just crazy. But it's worth looking into. Maybe he can salvage this somehow.
...Wait, he is going already? Oh, for the love of... Felix moves slightly. Just enough to get in the way, without getting into anyone's personal space. It's not a threat, after all.
"--Whoa, whoa, are you seriously leaving in the middle of a conversation? Now that's pretty rude."
no subject
"I answered your questions. You didn't like the answers. And I have work I should be doing." And he was all too familiar with people taking out their frustrations on whoever was nearby. He doesn't appreciate the tone this man is using. He's familiar with being told he's insane or crazy. But he would think that he would know if he was dead or not.
Especially since he had been a powerful ghost in death.

Like Locus or Washington. Except he knows how to handle Locus. And Wash is... well, Wash is easy as hell to manipulate. Way more fun to mess with. This dude's just all quiet. But fine. He steps back, to let the guy pass again.
"But hey, I get it. Work's important, so go right ahead. No one's stopping you."
...Of course, that's not the end of it. Because when Walter starts walking again, Felix will just... trail behind.
no subject
He stopped abruptly and half-turned, waiting for an explanation. Chaos was looking between Walter and Felix. Oh, just say the word, and she will chase him up the Radio Tower...
no subject
Felix just shrugs when he stops, though. "What? You know there's only two ways this hallway goes, right?" Total coincidence. "Besides... you seem to know your way around. Don't get all grumpy on me."
no subject
"...Keep your distance." It was the only warning he would give Felix as he gave Chaos a nod, turning to continue walking. Chaos didn't hold back her smirk at Felix, slinking after Walter.
no subject
But honestly, Felix is paying less attention to Walter now than he is to everything around here. Everything he's seeing of the base is... uh...
"Well. This whole operation sure is... cute."
no subject
He turned down some corners, heading down towards the lab area. While all Rockets had access to the area, it required their ID cards to pass through the barriers. Even if Walter wasn't intending to do some work, it should mean that Felix would be discouraged from following him.
no subject
...Relatively. Relatively safe.
"Oh, so now you're just gonna... Yeah, no, that's fine! God, you're a dick." And here he was, on his best behavior. "Ugh, god, I can't believe I found someone worse than Locus."
no subject
"Chaos, escort him...elsewhere."
As the Luxio pawed towards him, static danced over her fur. She grinned, sharp teeth on full display as she got ready to chase him. He'd only get a two second headstart before she gave a roar and charged after him, electricity cloaking her body as she rammed her body into him, shocking him in a Spark attack.
no subject
Wait, what was that just now?
Felix gets to think about it for all of a moment before suddenly that weird fucking cat is heading right for him. So that's happening now, because why not? It doesn't seem like much of a threat... until she rams into him. And then he feels the electricity.
"Son of a--!"
What the fuck, what the fuck, what the f-- Okay no. No, this is not happening. This is clearly not the reason they gave him his own weird animals, but he's using them. Quickly he takes out one of his pokeballs and--
...throws it at the Luxio's head. What? That's how you use these, right? Nevermind that it'll probably just bounce off and hit the floor. Or miss her completely and hit the floor anyway. The important result is that there's now a big ol' snake with a knife for a tail there. Maybe the cat will focus on that instead or something, who the fuck even knows.
no subject
"Leave." Walter advised from behind Chaos. "I don't want to battle. I want to be left alone."
no subject
Seriously escalating the whole thing. Come on, man, that's not... that's not how these things should work, ugh.
"I was already just about to leave you alone before that. So really, who's the one making things difficult here?"
no subject
She hoped this guy stuck around, so she could beat up his snake and then run him out.
no subject
He does take a moment to really obviously roll his eyes. But then he just pats the side of his Seviper's... sort of neck area, look it's a fucking snake, okay. But the message has been received and the Seviper will just follow after Felix as he walks away.
no subject
Walter was merely glad to see him leave. The children following him was strange, but harmless, enough. He didn't need adults following him as well. He walked into the labs with Chaos, swiping his ID card as he went in.
