Arrival + Video
Who: Loki and other Rockets
Where: The Goldenrod Base
When: October 21st-ish
Summary: A God of Mischief has wound up in a very different sort of world
Rating: PG
[LOG]
[You would think Loki was used to being thrown into another timeline, another world for that matter. But all together being told he was now part of some base and had to change his clothes, it was like he was at the TVA again. Except now he has these little companions he had been given as well.
Walking inside the common room, Loki looked down at his grunt uniform. He preferred something more stylist, but he couldn't do anything about that for now. Loki held out one of his pokeballs and released his new little friend. Zorua trilled up at him giving a little giggle in delight for being let out. Loki only folded his arms at it.]
Alright little one, it seems you're my new partner in crime... Have you any idea on where we should start?
[Zorua couldn't help but give a big grin at him and transformed herself into a duplicate copy of him. Loki furrowed his brows, and tilted his head. At which Zorua did the same. Becoming a mirror of him by mimicing his every movement. Loki gave a thought after moving his arms around with his double before pressing Zorua's nose who let out a squeak and transformed back into their fox form. Snickers as he watched the little miss pout up at him.]
Well, I know what to train you with first. Let's just say I've quite the talent to illusion magic
[VIDEO]
Right.
[Straightening the grunt uniform's collar, Loki looked into the camera after taking a breath.]
There seems to be some mistake. You see, I, do not belong in this dimension. Clearly you have picked up the wrong being and if I could be sent back to the TVA. Or... Someplace I recognize, I'd much appreciate it.
The creatures you brought me are indeed cute, very amusing. But I am completely unfamiliar with this place and I have no idea what's going on. So...
[Gestures his way out the door, after a moment of silence, he realizes this is probably not going to work.]
... Ofcourse, if you need me to complete some tasks first before I can go back to my world, I'd be happy to oblige.

[VIDEO] i am so sorry loki (scroll to the last one TRUST ME)
Yeah you're going to have bad luck taking that up with whatever actually handles that, [the woman explains, a sympathetic grimace on her face. Wherever she is, it looks at least somewhat tropical. Nice training yard. Good construction.
Carly adjusts her glasses.] It's really easy to adjust to at least? I mean, hoo, if home worlds went this easy... ...ahem. But yeah. You're. Stuck.
And in the same position a very 'lucky' few are! Welcome to Team Rocket, sorry in advance. [There were airquotes on that 'lucky' weren't there.]
oh nooo
Charming.
[Tilts his head curiously in observation toward her.]
Yes, I'm sure...
I beg your pardon, "lucky"?

The important part is- Oh, hang on-
[In the background, a charizard starts getting in a fight with a volcarona. She shouts-] URD, IF YOU AND RED DON'T KNOCK IT OFF I'M GETTING SKULD INVOLVED!
[The two stop immediately, particularly when a watery spider sort of thing peers up in curiosity.
Carly looks back to the camrea.] Okay, right-
The thing is most people don't end up in Team Rocket. Most people wake up in New Bark Town, in a house, soon to be booted out for a ~pokemon journey~. Which...in some ways can be worse? But the thing is, they're also free to do whatever they want pretty much right away. Weeeeee...uh.
Well. [There's a small shrug, which says 'you can probably already fill in the blank'.]
no subject
Heh, sounds like we have a bit of chaos here already.
nightwork life truly kicking my rear for tagging more than once a day uAu
Ahhh, but if making chaos is your idea of fun, you're going to have to survive training first! And I don't mean that like it's hard, it's...mmm.
[That grimace, once more.] It's more...disappointing? It's only a week at least, but it's really not hard to get through at all.
ah sok <3
So in other words... Not chaotic at all?

Charming.
Guess I'll make do with what I have.

Step one should be securing quotas. I always just caught them, they don't check to see if you actually stole them, and catching is easier...
no subject
[Proceeds to take a deeper look at his device. Then glances with a bit of a smirk.]
Well I'll have to see if my pokemon are ready to help me catch some outside here. I don't mind, I need to learn all their tricks and powers.
no subject
At least one should; you might have to train the other one up a little bit...oh! But look around the electronics stores when you can; there's Rotom there, they're really handy!
no subject
I may be more inclined to magic, but I have no fear of modern tech. I will give it a shot. Thank you Miss... I'm sorry, I don't believe I caught your name?
no subject
And that's good to hear!~ There's...hmm. ...I can't actually say if there's no magic here honestly. It's a bit weird... ...we don't have it though, so it's good that you're open to it. [The tech, that is.]
...Honestly things here sit on a weird scale. We have teleporters, but most people walk or ride animals to get places that are days away.
no subject
[Gives a hum.]
Well, we have those sort of things that are similar at home, teleportation that is.
[If you ask Heimdall nicely ofcourse... And were not on the run, but he knows there's many other ways to get around to other places.]
But recreational exercise isn't something looked past, it's not too surprising.
no subject
[As soon as she says it, an eevee jumps into the frame.] GUH-! No, not you!!
Vee!! Vee vee!!
Say, point of curiosity, [she says, adjusting her glasses,] Is that a...Nordic name?
Vee Vee Vee!!! [The eevee- also 'Loki' if context is any sign- seems pretty excited to see someone with that name!!]
Good to hear this is just a matter of course though...we do have the resources for it...
no subject
[He couldn't help but give a little smirk.]
Why, have you heard of my name before?
no subject
I was supposed to check his nature once he hatched...Honestly, all of the pokemon out with me right now had the same trainer. He came from Sweden I think?
He liked naming his pokemon after Nordic figures...but I never thought I'd meet one~ Wow~!
no subject
A pleasure to finally meet someone who's heard of me around here~
Seems my name still holds some weight even in this place, as it should!
no subject
Uhhhhh....not much else though, [Carly admits, adjusting her glasses.] I can only assume whatever myths you left behind depicted you as really tricky though, because that's the sort of personality I was supposed to assign this name..!
video;
[Emet-Selch offers Loki a sympathetic smile, though it still somehow seems rather smug all the same.]
However, you are in good company--for the most part. I am Emet-Selch, though many outside of the organization know me as Soluz zos Galvus, and it would do you well to familiarize yourself with the latter.
Now, who might you be?
no subject
Guess the never ends of a captive bureaucracy still reside even here.
I am Loki, and I am grateful to have a better audience with someone than just in myself in my room... Perhaps I should pick up pseudonym as well, baring that we must hide our true identity within the Rocket headquarters here...
I had once on Midgard pretended to be D.B. Cooper, on a bet with my brother I could steal a large sum of that world's money.
[Shrugs.]
They never found out my true identity then, so what's the harm of trying once more.
no subject
[Though the name Loki is pretty curious. He chooses not to remark.]
Forgive me if this is too forward, but were you mortal ere your arrival?
no subject
[A gleeful giggle noise can be heard as Zorua hopped on to his shoulder in greeting, giving an amused chuckle and petting the top of her fluffy fox like head.]
I actually was a God from my original world... Asgard. Though I am not sure I will be welcomed back there quite yet. My mischievous ways has got quite scandal there.
no subject
[Though now he turns his attention to the Zorua, his eyebrows raising with due interest.]
These beasts are rather convenient in their powers and uses. I have nearly filled the yawning chasm betwixt this current state and my original with their abilities—though naught will ever replace the independence of accessing your own powers at will. But it is what it is...
no subject
Quite glad I have at least landed in familiar company.
I can learn to adapt this way, at least I have some access to powers that are similar to mine.
[Chuckles.]
May have to capture more of these curious creatures though...It will expand my capabilities to get around this world and perhaps other possibilities.
Also phone tagging is a horror show, that should have been Solus not Soluz!
Be warned: he is an odd one, and what he might seek in compensation may not be of a monetary value, but I can assure you that he will not leave you wanting.
OOP
If only hope I am able to supply something reasonable in return.
video
I don't know what the TVA is, but... you're not gonna be able to get out of here that easily. Sorry. Oh, but you should probably still do your training!
no subject
Ofcourse...
I will admit I'll have to figure out the ropes on training these creatures. It is at least good to see they have powers I'm familiar with.
no subject
... Oh! Yeah, that too, but I actually meant the Rocket training. Unless you've already done all that...
no subject
Yes I will have to start on that, admittedly I only read up on what I need to do. But not much else yet.
no subject
[Doppio, trying to figure out just how much of a criminal background this guy might have without revealing anything about himself? Perish the thought.]
no subject
no subject
[Not the information he was looking for... but it could be interesting nonetheless.]
Video
[Blunt, but true. Narancia's still not enthused with that.]
Welcome to Team Rocket, though. Good luck with your training week.
no subject
It figures...
[Looks back at the screen.]
Thanks, at any rate.
