Orientation Day
Who: Liv, Jack, Carly
Where: Goldenrod Rocket Base
When: Liv's Arrival - June 10
Summary: [muffled "What's This" playing in the background]
Rating: PG13, probably
Log:
[Okay. Not what Liv expected after diving into a collapsing breach in spacetime, but on balance not the worst place she could've ended up. Air is breathable, gravity is normal, the structure she's in and the aggressive recruitment letter strongly suggest an at least close to modern civilization. The note of- employment? Sure, employment- was almost too convenient, really, given the explosive end her tenure at Alchemax was likely coming too, last she knew. The floating squid and multi-tailed fox were definitely strange, but so far seemed harmless, and some basic checks of perception suggested she wasn't dreaming or hallucinating.]
[Her arms were gone.]
[That would take some dealing with. When she had the time.]
[But business first, which in this case meant bee-lining for the closest available scientific facilities, or trying too. Everything so far had the suggestion that she'd been expected, somehow, so either someone was replicating her research or this organization was picking up people off the street. And removing her arms wouldn't have been a simple surgery, not with her still alive afterward, so she was leaning towards the latter.]
[So for now she's tugged on the provided uniform over her undersuit, and is striding purposefully but curiously through the base, scribbling notes in the margins of her Rocket handbook.]
Oh! Hello, I was looking for the labs, would you be so kind as to point me?

Oh, that few? That's a bit disappointing.
[Maybe actually a little worrying, honestly.]
There are more extra-dimensional arrivals outside the 'team' though, you say?
no subject
[She should explain that.] Right! That's exactly what I'm saying- there's a lot...a lot more out there- they're all either 'trainers' or 'breeders', but even just listening in on the radio it's at least a dozen or so. And that's just people I overheard during breaks on the public channel.
...These things are pretty much smart-phones with a public connectivity option by the way, so if you're curious, you can hear a lot of stuff, [she notes, holding up the pokegear on her wrist.]
