Right. We’re going to try this again, only less long-winded and with Jack having actually looked over it before I post. And, I suppose, mid-month instead of early month. We’ll start with the first order of business:

1. As many of you already know, we have a new member of the crew who just finished her Mandatory Rocket Training: Spinel. Please welcome her if you haven’t yet.

2. As we also all should know by now, Pokemon Prom will be this weekend. Unless they’re going to inflict it on us at the very last minute, there are no standing orders from the admins for us to do anything in particular at the Prom; that said, by its very nature, Prom presents a wide range of opportunity for larceny. Just don’t be stupid and don’t get caught. I’ve been attempting to find out information on our hosts, but unfortunately there is not much available, just that they’re insanely rich, from a different region, and have incredibly stupid hair.

3. Relatedly, for those of you who are planning to steal things at Prom, I’ll be linking a video below which shows how to make false bottoms in your luggage, the better to smuggle your ill-gotten gains out. And yes, it’s subtitled.

4. Also relatedly, I’ve been lucky enough to be given a chance to borrow a gaming friend’s copies of various HMs, including Surf and Fly. I’ll be bringing those with me to Prom to return to my friend on the last day. For those of you still in Goldenrod, I’m willing to meet with any of you before Prom in order to let you use those HMs on your pokemon. For those of you that aren’t, if you meet me on the day of arrival at Prom, I’ll let you use the HMs on any pokemon on the team that you brought with you.

You do outside of battle, but you also need to defeat other gyms to be given the HMs in the first place. Using these will cut off a few of the gyms you'd need to do.

And even if you don't have those badges, you can still use these *in* battle as long as your Pokemon have those moves.

I... actually didn't know that, but I suppose that's easier than having to deal with all of the gyms since I couldn't care less about them outside of the money.

Honestly, I just care about being cleared for traveling.

Because I have a regular job in Goldenrod (and soon a business) and I can't take the time off to travel to the gyms where you get awarded the HMs when I don't have the warps. Borrowing those HMs from my friend means I only have to visit gyms where I *do* have warps to challenge *those* so I can use the moves out of battle.

Does that make sense?

These already *are* my friend's extras. But thank you, Steve. I appreciate that.

Gyms may be an easy way to make money, but I am getting older and I appreciate being able to sleep in a warm bed with my boyfriend every night and not shivering my ass off in a tent on the road.

But you're right. I suppose I can't. Jack might be sent home. And he's seventeen years older than I am. It's entirely likely that even if we both stay in this world, he would predecease me. Though I suspect that depending when this might happen, it's entirely possible I would be one of his legal heirs at that point.

[If this had come before a certain conversation, Steven would be much more vulnerable to the idea that Jack would set him aside. Alas, he now knows that if Jack weren't trying to take it slow for him, they'd likely be married in all but name.]
