These wannabe unversed are worthless.
I seriously have to train them to make them stronger?
Pathetic.
[Hello, fellow Rockets! A newcomer is in your midst and...frankly he's just unimpressed with everything. And bored.]
Where can I find better ones?
[Action]
[For those lucky enough to be wandering the hallways, Vanitas won't be hard to miss. Rather than change into his Team Rocket issued uniform like he'd been told, the young man is still wearing his outfit from home--helmet and all. He's got two tag-alongs in his exploration, one being his Phantump and the other his Woobat.
The first is drifting along quietly and obediently, pausing whenever Vanitas does to avoid running into it's master. The Woobat, however, is darting all over the place having the time of it's life now that he's out of his Pokeball!
Which of course just makes Vanitas hate it even more.]
You're pathetic. [The Woobat just squeaked in delight and Vanitas rolled his eyes behind his mask before veering down another hallway to see who or what he could find.]

"What is your question."
He shied away from the Woobat but Joseph gave a toothy smile and greeted it, jumping up to Walter's shoulder and nuzzling him slightly.

His Woobat fluttered up to eye level with Joseph now that the other was up higher, chirping and squeaking merrily.
"Shut up," Vanitas snapped and immediately the Woobat shot away from Joseph and Walter, ducking behind it's trainer and bumping into his Phantump. The little ghost grabbed a hold of his flighty companion, holding him there as he peered over at the pair before them.
"Also, the name Xehanort doesn't ring a bell, does it?" He sounds almost bored asking it but there's a slight bit of tension creeping into his frame. The last thing he needs is that old man showing up.
no subject
"No, I do not know that name. Is that all?" Assuming it was, he waited for Vanitas to merely confirm it so he could leave.
no subject
"And where's that? Or are you going to be a pain about the details?" Vanitas crossed his arms as he said it, head tilting as he grinned behind his mask. His Phantump glanced at her trainer then back to Walter and Joseph, a slow little grin appearing on it's face as it held the Woobat tighter.
This seemed like it might be fun.
"No, I have other questions. In a hurry?" he drawled, more than happy to keep bothering this man since he seemed to want the conversation to be done and over with.

Joseph looked between Walter and the boy, and then to the Phantump. And winked. Don't worry lil guy! His trainer knows what he's doing.
no subject
He's the one that's scared of Vanitas.
"Simple if you've been around here before," Vanitas said through a snort. "Is this how you treat newcomers? So rude." He took a few steps closer, glancing at Joseph then to Walter again. "I want it."
no subject
"The information you want is provided when you arrive." Walter had made a point of actually looking at his Gear and familiarising himself with what it had to say about his partners and his location. And afterwards, the training had established everything else. This was purely on Vanitas for not paying attention.

Vanitas snorted at the information comment, pulling his gear out of the pouch.
"You mean on this? It reads like a boring book and stuff like this can easily be faked," he drawled, tossing his gear up and down in his palm. "So, I asked and you gave me the same stupid information this did. What a boring world."
no subject
He turned to leave. He had answered Vanitas' questions. He refused to hand over his Pokemon. There was nothing else to discuss.
Joseph grinned and pulled a face at Vanitas as a parting shot. Later loser.

It wasn't Vanitas that moved first, though, despite the urge to kick that stupid cat thing. No, it was his Phantump. The little ghost moved swiftly forward, swinging around in front of Walter with the Woobat in tow. It didn't hesitate to shove the other Pokemon in the man's face, an echoed giggle escaping it as the Woobat squeaked in distress at being shoved around.
Their trainer, meanwhile, darted forward then to make a grab for Joseph, going for the creature's neck so he could haul it up and under his arm.

And before he could try to reach him again, a large, fluffy pink Bewear appeared in a flash of light, directly in his way, looking down on him with a low rumble. Walter remained stoic but he was actually very, very grateful for Robbie's appearance.
"Do not come near me. Or Robbie will remove you." He warned Vanitas. Joseph slid into his arms instead, watching with sharp eyes.
no subject
But then there was something else in his way and he stepped back before falling into a fighting stance as he eyed the large Unver--Pokemon.
"Remove me, huh?" Vanitas mocked, lips curving into a grin behind his mask. "Apparently I need this one too."
And, ever the intelligent one, Vanitas darted forward, attempting to dart around the bear to get at Walter and Joseph.

Robbie swung his arm and smacked Vanitas. In human terms, even putting force behind such a motion, wouldn't be so impressive. But Robbie was a very strong, highly trained Bewear who didn't hold back when ordered to attack. So when he swung, it was with enough power to snap a telephone pole - aimed right at Vanitas' face.
Whent he attack connected, Joseph screeched in laughter.

But oh. Oh that was what he was looking for.
Muffled laughter escaped Vanitas as he slumped against the wall, reaching up to pull the remains of his helmet off, licking at the blood on his lip from the split there.
His Phantump had let go of his Woobat, enraged by her trainer getting hurt as it's eyes started to glow softly and it swiftly used Confused Ray on the Bewear.
Get away from her trainer!

Looking over at Vanitas calmly, Walter gently touched Robbie's back.

Vanitas had sunk to the ground now, clearly not planning to get up again at the moment before there was definitely a rather manic sort of glee on his face as he watched Walter and Robbie.
"I can't wait to take them," he mumbled out through his bubbling bouts of laughter, licking his lips again.
Now he had a goal.

Joseph gave the Woobat a look. "He's right you know. If your trainer tried to take me, I'd take his throat out! So if you like him alive, keep him back....or if you want him dead, just say so. These humans come back, so we cna kill him again and again and again!"
no subject
"Now I know what to expect. We're going to have a lot of fun, the two of us," the young man practically purred.
His Woobat fluttered about nervously, looking from Joseph to Vanitas and back again before shaking itself about.
"I can't stop him. He'll do it again and again. He won't be scared of you either." Even if the Woobat is clearly terrified.
no subject
Walter simply straightened and motioned for Robbie to come with him. Joseph paused however, quickly looking over the Woobat. "Hey...if he turns out too bad to ya...the stealing thing isn't just a one way street." He winked, before jumping up to Walter's shoulder again as they left towards the labs. Restricted access meant it was safe from people like Vanitas.
no subject
Vanitas just watched the group go, far more amused than someone that had just been assaulted by a Pokemon like Bewear should be.
Maybe this wouldn't be all that bad after all.
